What is Amazon FBA?
Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is a service that allows sellers to store their products in Amazon’s fulfillment centers and have Amazon handle the picking, packing, shipping, and customer service for those products. This can be a great way for sellers to save time and money, and to offer their customers a fast and convenient shopping experience.
Policy and
Eligibility
Amazon has a reimbursement policy for FBA inventory that is lost or damaged in the fulfillment process. To be eligible for reimbursement, the item must:
Be registered in FBA
Comply with FBA product restrictions and inventory requirements
Match the shipping plan
Not be in canceled or deleted status
Not be pending disposal or have been disposed of at the seller’s request
Not be defective or have been damaged by a customer
If an eligible item is lost or damaged and the seller has not already been reimbursed, they can file a reimbursement claim. The process for filing a claim varies depending on where in the fulfillment process the item was lost or damaged. There are four types of claims:
Shipment to Amazon claims
Fulfillment center operations claims
Customer return claims
Removals claims
The seller must follow the applicable process and provide all requested information when filing a claim.
